I'm a fairly new owner of Kubota 7500 - and this morning for the first time I could not get it started. I don't have much cold weather experience so I assumed it was just that. It wanted to start...just wouldn't quite catch. So I waited until the day warmed up a bit, then tried again, then waited longer and tried again. The frustration was starting to build. I called the dealer and they said to keep the glow light going longer (30-40 seconds). Did that, no change. So I pulled out the fuel filter and looked at it - looked okay/clean. Put that back, tried it, still wouldn't catch. THEN I noticed that the fuel jar holding the filter had not filled back up. So out of curiosity I added some fuel to the tank. Bingo - the jar filled and on the next try the 7500 started right up. Now I had just filled the gas tank a few days ago and yet I noticed that the gauge was near empty. The problem all along had been no gas. I went back and looked at the gravel in my barn and sure enough there was evidence of diesel leaking. I can't find any leak now, but I can only assume that the fuel filter jar was somehow loose and it leaked out there. I've got some cardboard under it so I can watch for some other leak.
All that fuss and cursing at the damn thing and it was trying desperately to start all along. Oh well, another lesson learned!

You should check to see if any air entrainment will be automatically bled out of the system or if you might have to intervene. ....

According to the manual starting the tractor and running it for 30 seconds bleeds out any air. Not sure how...since I know other tractors have a more complex procedure.
I ran it for an hour after getting it started and had no problems.

Once I didn't get a filter seated in the bottom of the bowl. It seemed to tighten up but it didn't seal. I noticed it as soon as I turned the shut-off valve back on but maybe something like that happened and you'll never see another leak. Auto-bled is nice--so said because it's something I don't have, and the pump is very fussy. ....
